Welcome to the online training page for records management / archiving training programmes run by GxP-Train (a trading name of Rammell Consulting Ltd and Heath Barrowcliff Consulting Ltd). We offer bespoke records management training programmes for GxP-regulated functions and industries.

In response to the lack of a comprehensive training programme for records managers, archivists, document administrators and other related roles in the Life Sciences sector, we have developed a 3-module training programme. The programme is usually delivered as 3 separate 1-day modules over the course of a year. This means that you can opt to omit a module if it is not so relevant to your role or, if you are not available for one of the days, you may still be able to attend others and catch up later on the missed module. However, as each course is tailored to the client's needs, you have the freedom to change the content and scheduling to meet your needs.

Our programme is particularly targetted at colleagues with limited experience in the field, for example a new member of staff working in a GLP archive or a new TMF document administrator. Although staff will often only be required to operate to one of the GxP's (GCP, for example), our courses cover the full range of regulations pertinent to scientific research and development environments. We believe it is valuable for staff to understand more than just their own particular domain, whilst getting a detailed understanding of the area in which they work.

Furthermore, our courses go beyond archiving. Archiving is the final stage in the management of a document or record along a quite lengthy life-cycle prior to its eventual destruction. We believe it is vital for staff to understand the records life-cycle and the basic principles underlying records management to operate effectively. This also helps in terms of an individual's own career and personal development opportunities.

Please note that whilst specific dates might be advertised on this site, all corses can be run in-house at any time to suit your needs (subject to availability of the trainers). All of our courses can be tailored to meet the needs of the client so the information here is for guidance only. Please contact us to discuss your training needs.
